ABOUT USCEO WELCOME

Inclusion. Aspiration. Community. Working together so every child can flourish.

Welcome to Salterns Academy Trust.

We are a Portsmouth‑based multi‑academy trust with a clear purpose: to serve our community by providing inclusive, high‑quality education that enables every child and young person to flourish. Across our three successful and growing schools, we support more than 3,500 pupils through both primary and secondary phases, ensuring that each learner is known, valued and supported to achieve their very best.

Inclusion sits at the heart of our work. We are deeply committed to equity, belonging and opportunity, and we strive to create learning environments where every child feels safe, respected and able to succeed, whatever their background, starting point or individual needs. We believe that inclusive practice strengthens not only outcomes for children, but the wider community we serve.

We are an ambitious Trust, with high aspirations for our pupils, our staff and our schools. We know that excellent education changes lives, opening pathways and possibilities for the future. That belief drives our focus on strong teaching, thoughtful curriculum design and continuous improvement across all our schools.

Our people make this work possible. We are proud to be a caring and supportive employer of over 450 staff, combining high expectations with investment in professional development and collaboration. Through our partnership with GLF Schools, we strengthen school improvement and staff learning, and through our work with the HISP Learning Partnership we support Early Career Teachers, mentors and the delivery of National Professional Qualifications for school leaders across Portsmouth.

As a Trust, we value community and partnership. We recognise that lasting impact is achieved by working together with others who share our commitment to young people and to the city we serve. Our partnerships include Portsmouth City Council, the University of Portsmouth, the Portsmouth Education Partnership, the Royal Navy, and a wide range of schools, colleges and multi‑academy trusts, locally and beyond.

As Salterns Academy Trust continues to grow, our values remain constant. We will continue to act with integrity, ambition and care, working in partnership to provide the best possible education for every child and young person in our community.
